The Physicians for Peace Board of Trustees Winter Dinner featured its work in Libya



The evening's honored guest was His Excellency Ali Suleiman Aujali, Libyan Ambassador to the United States. The Ambassador spoke to the guests about his goal of furthering good relations between our two countries, crediting Physicians for Peace for advancing this goal.
Also featured in the evening's program were Winfred O. Fred Ward, M.D., who traveled to Libya in July of 2009 on a fact-finding mission that led to the development of the Libyan program initiatives, and Diane M. Strout, RN. Diane is the Chair of the Physicians for Peace Global Nurse Education Committee and was a member of the first Libyan medical and educational mission led by Dr. Ward in October 2009.
